Marc Antonio Cesti (August 5, 1623 – October 14, 1669) was an Italian composer of the Baroque era.

He was innate at Florence, and deliberate sustaining Carissimi, and when holding the post someplace around Florence when master di cappella entered a apostolic chapel within 1660. Inside 1666 he became Vice-Kapellmeister at Vienna, and died at Venice within 1669.

Cesti is known mainly as a composer of operas, a virtually all celebrated of which were La Don (Venice, 1663) and ''Il Pomo 500'oro'' (Vienna, 1668). He was too the composer of chamber cantatas, & his operas come notable for the pure and delicate style of their airs, further suited to the chamber than to the stage.
